A Crying Shame!

This site proclaims that it is apolitical in content, intent and outlook. Yet, today I find myself compelled to write this article about a boy I did not even know (personally, that is)! Frankly, this article is not about what happened to Rohith Vemula, the young lad who committed who was forced to commit suicide — it is for all the Rohiths we have lost in the past due to our monstrous system that has grown so dehumanised that it is unabashed by the loss of innocent human lives.

Added:
It is almost a fortnight since Rohith passed away — and there has been heaps and heaps of comments about his demise — many are sympathetic, but most are forthrightly denunciatory and derogatory in extremis.
And, as usual (so usual in fact that it can be termed "normal"), most of the critics go in for ad hominems and strawmen… proof of their incapacity to put up a genuine argument to back up their criticism. Their sheer hatred for one of their own is so great that they cannot conceal it.
This article has a whole heap of comments which span the entire spectrum from praise to vituperation! The language of some of the comments is so disgusting that I cannot reproduce them (the comments) here! Sick minds!

I am not concerned about his caste, religion, political affiliation or anything else! I am concerned that a promising young life was forced to take this extreme step. We say that youth is the future of the nation; yet here that very youth is hounded by the very system set up to support and nurture him— hounded to such an extent that he sees no way out but to commit suicide!
